INDUSTRY OUTLOOK

Facility Management services refers to the use of third-party service providers to maintain a part or entire building facility in a professional manner. The Facility management industry in India is dominated by in-house segment; However, these services are increasingly being outsourced. As the industries being shifting from unorganized to organized sector, the integrated sector will also increase. Moreover, The increasing need to reduce operating cost of facilities and buildings and increasing demand for energy conservation and optimum usage of building solutions is driving the growth of the facility management market in India. The Facility management market in India is projected to grow at a CAGR of 18-24% from FY 2020 to FY 2025.

The outbreak of COVID 19 pandemic has had an impact on almost all entities either directly or indirectly. But COVID-19 has not had a significant impact on the operations and functioning of facility management organizations. There are various segments in which BVG India Limited operates (viz. running and maintenance of ambulances and police vehicles, solid waste management, cleaning and maintenance of essential premises such as Government buildings, hospitals etc.) where there has been no stoppage of work and in fact, the level of operations have increased.

As most of the employees in BVG India Limited or any other facility management service company are low wage earners. The Clients of BVG India Limited has been forthcoming in releasing the company’s payments so as to avoid hardships to such employees. However, prolonged extension of COVID-19 and related lockdowns may adversely impact the businesses of various sectors. This may, in turn impact the liquidity of BVG India Limited.
