About THE SCOTTISH ASSAM (INDIA) LIMITED Unlisted Shares
THE SCOTTISH ASSAM (INDIA) LIMITED was first started in the year 1977 with a garden named Heeleakah Tea Estate of about 950 Hectares. The brand name of the tea produced by the company is known as ‘Heeleakah’. It has become a popular brand among upper Assam tea.
The company started manufacturing teas from brought leaf marked as ‘Dhopatbari’ from the year 2012.
Prices for teas in India, due to the drop in supply, have currently increased, post the lockdown opening. The prospects are encouraging. However, the majority of the production for the current season is still to be sold, and the company's prospects for the year would be largely influenced by how the tea prices in the market behave for the remaining of the production season. The labor and the staff were unable to work at their full capacity as only 50% of the staff worked during the lockdown period in the garden.
The equity shares of THE SCOTTISH ASSAM (INDIA) LIMITED are listed on Calcutta Stock Exchange.
