was incorporated on November 3, 2016, and is classified as a public limited

Acko General
Insurance has shown significant growth in its operating revenues. For the

crossed the INR 2,000 Cr mark, reaching approximately INR 2,106.25 Cr. This
reflects a substantial increase from INR 1,758.64 Cr in FY23.

promoted by Shri Varun Dua, who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to Acko, Varun Dua co-founded Coverfox, an online insurance aggregator.
Acko received its license from the Insurance Regulatory and Development
Authority of India (IRDAI) in September 2017.
Acko's core
business involves providing general insurance services, with a strong focus on
retail products such including motor insurance (car and two-wheeler), health
insurance, and travel insurance. The company leverages technology, including AI
and data analytics, to simplify the insurance experience, reduce paperwork, and
offer personalized pricing and quick claim settlements. Acko has partnered with
major digital platforms like Amazon, Ola, and RedBus to expand its reach. In
October 2021, Acko achieved unicorn status by raising $255 million in a Series
D funding round, bringing its valuation to $1.1 billion. The company aims to
achieve profitability by FY27.
