PharmEasy IPO plans are back in focus after its parent company API Holdings, repaid ₹1,050 crore in outstanding term debt. The company is now prioritising profitability before deciding whether to pursue an initial public offering (IPO) or a potential merger with Thyrocare. API Holdings is targeting profitability in its core business, excluding Thyrocare, by March 2027. Its EBITDA losses have narrowed significantly, falling from ₹637 crore in FY24 to ₹168 crore in FY26, supported by lower operating expenses, improved margins and greater operational efficiency.
Meanwhile, PharmEasy is transforming its business model from online medicine delivery to an integrated outpatient healthcare platform. The company is focusing on higher-margin healthcare services and products while aiming for approximately 15% annual revenue growth. Although the PharmEasy IPO is once again under consideration, the company has not confirmed a listing timeline. Its final decision will depend on achieving its profitability goals and evaluating strategic alternatives, including a potential Thyrocare merger.
