"With a Rs 50 crore investment, we are considering establishing a second manufacturing plant in Gujarat. It is expected to be operational by 2017 "Prakash Lohia, Managing Director of Vegit, told PTI. In response to whether the company has decided on a location for the plant, he stated: "We are in discussions with officials from the Gujarat government. We have yet to finalize the location of the new plant." Apart from the new plant, they plan to increase the production capacity of potato flakes at its existing plant in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, by 50% to meet rising demand.

It is also considering expanding its product portfolio by adding six new snack mix variants to its current range of nine. The company also stated that it intends to increase its retail presence by 25% by adding 1,250 new stores to its 5,000 pan-India outlets.

Vegit offers a diverse range of products, including the company's flagship product, Aloo Mash (Potato Flakes), as well as Indian snacks such as Burger Patty, Aloo Tikki, Aloo Bonda, Soya Rolls, Cheese Balls, Hara Bhara Kebabs, Shammi Kebabs, and Veg cutlets, as well as the recently launched Pav Bhaji mix. Merino Industries is India's leading provider of potato storage and processing facilities.
