In recognition of its airport service quality, Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL) was awarded the Director General's Roll of Excellence award by the Airport Council International (ACI) on Wednesday.
When the Airports Council International (ACI), a global organization of airport operators, established the Roll of Excellence recognition program, it was intended to recognize airports that, in the opinion of passengers, have consistently provided excellent services in the Airport Service Quality Survey. ACI World Director-General, Luis Felipe de Oliveira, said in a communique announcing the recognition that "Cochin International Airport has consistently delivered excellence in customer service by winning multiple ASQ awards over five years during the past ten years." "Cochin International Airport is one of only six airports worldwide that will receive this year's recognition," he said in the communique announcing the recognition. In addition, "I am certain that you will continue to be a role model for airport service quality excellence and that you will collaborate with us to raise the bar in service standards and best practices throughout the industry," he said. Managing Director S Suhas of CIAL said that the ACI's service quality programs have been assisting airport officials in maintaining international standards in airport operations management and that the Roll of Excellence honor is undoubtedly a gesture from the global organization recognizing CIAL's commitment to the passengers' needs and interests.
