Oyo, a travel tech platform, announced on Monday the inauguration of its first luxury hotel in Dubai, Palette Royal Reflections Hotel and Spa, as the IPO-bound company looks to expand its premium property portfolio globally.
This launch is part of OYO's global plan to increase its footprint in the premium property industry, notably in the Middle East. The company presently operates over 700 properties around the UAE, including more than 200 in Dubai alone, indicating its strong presence in the region.
India remains Dubai's top tourism market, with 11.9 million visitors expected in 2023, followed by Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, with 6.7 million and 5.9 million tourists, respectively. "We have witnessed an increase in demand from Indian travelers looking for premium accommodations in the area. OYO hopes to satisfy these demands with its new initiative in Dubai," said Nitin Gupta, OYO's Business Head in the Middle East.
